After clearing their plates, diners can head to the chef challenge website to vote for their favorite dishes. A total of 11 restaurants around Yolo County are participating in the challenge, which is overseen by the nonprofit Vegan Outreach. This year’s theme is “Go Green, Yolo!,” encouraging diners to consider plant-based options for their environmental benefit.

Last year, Executive Chef Janos Levin and Sous Chef Michael Chiu of Scrubs Café won an award for “Most Voted and Best Entrée” for their mushroom carnitas tacos.
