Why did you choose UC Davis?

I chose UC Davis for a multitude of reasons. It’s highly ranked for my major, and it has lots of resources, including career fairs, info sessions, networking workshops, and competition teams. I also chose Davis because of its location in Northern California. I’ve had the pleasure of spending time in Lake Shasta, Lake Tahoe, Reno, the Bay Area, Sacramento and Santa Cruz. I plan on taking more trips my senior year.

What do you like about academics and student life here?

I like how everywhere you go, you will see students. You’ll see students all over time at any given part of the day, and I think it’s so great to be surrounded by fellow students everywhere you go.

How has UC Davis helped you grow?

Being from Southern California, I’ve grown a lot here just by being away from home, finding my own community and supporting myself. In the summer of 2021, I was able to intern at SFO Airport, and that experience was only possible because of the opportunities I’ve had here.

How do you feel UC Davis is preparing you for success?

I feel like UC Davis is preparing me by having lots of resources available. I’m lucky to have a few internships under my belt because I was able to take advantage of the resources given to me here.

What do you hope/plan to do after you graduate?

I plan on doing a post-grad trip!
