UC Davis is seeking input on a future line of licensed apparel and merchandise featuring the likeness of the iconic Robert Arneson Egghead sculptures.
More information about that launch is forthcoming, but members of the entire campus community can provide input through a brief online survey, which is available now through Sept. 28.
The survey, which should take only a few minutes to complete, will ask for opinions about the individual Eggheads, potential merchandise and more.
The seven Egghead sculptures, installed in the early 1990s, have become campus icons but have never before been licensed for apparel or merchandise.
Arneson was a UC Davis faculty member across four decades who gained national renown as one of the founders of the Funk Art movement. His work was often humorous and confrontational. Arneson died in 1992, and the Eggheads were among his last works.
