In-Person Options for Mandatory Training on Sexual Violence-Harassment Prevention

Quick Summary

  • Nonsupervisory staff must complete course in sexual violence and harassment prevention
  • Online course is available in LMS, or you can attend training at Heitman Staff Learning Center
  • Another option: a Life Theatre training session, April 25, for nonsupervisors and supervisors

UC Davis announced a series of in-person training sessions on sexual violence and sexual harassment prevention, for all staff in nonsupervisory roles, as an alternative to the online course that launched earlier this month. The training is newly required (and already applies to all managers and faculty).

Ivy Griffin, education and case specialist with the Harassment and Discrimination Assistance and Prevention Program, or HDAPP, said the in-person training “Harassment, Discrimination and Sexual Violence Prevention for Non-supervisors” will be presented three times in the Hamilton Room at the Heitman Staff Learning Center:

  • Wednesday, March 23 — 10:30 a.m.-noon
  • Wednesday, April 6 — 1-2:30 p.m.
  • Friday, May 13 — 10:30 a.m.-noon

Sign up via the Learning Management System (search for “Harassment, Discrimination and Sexual Violence Prevention for Non-supervisors”).

In addition, a Life Theatre Services performance on Monday, April 25, will also satisfy the training requirement, for nonsupervisors and supervisors. This program is scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon in Ballroom B at the Activities and Recreation Center. Register via the Learning Management System (search for “Life Theatre Sexual Harassment Prevention Training”).

If you elect to take the online course, it should have popped up in your “Assigned Training” window in the LMS. Or you can search for the course: “UC Sexual Violence and Sexual Harassment Prevention Training for Staff."
