Fast food is the favorite of a lot of folks on campus. At the Silo Union, in fact, where hamburgers, tacos, burritos and pizzas reign, we're talking 240 pounds of ground round and 30 pounds of pepperoni a day, according to Richard Kossak, retail food service director for Sodexho Marriott Services. Carl's Jr.'s most popular product is the Famous Star hamburger. People consume 1,200 of them a week. In addition, about 2,800 Taco Bell's tacos and 2,000 bean burritos are purchased weekly. Showing that students are truly interested in eating their vegetables, Pizza Hut's biggest seller is its Supreme Pizza, which is boxed up and sold individually 1,200 times each week. And Brenan's, which serves Starbuck's Coffee, pours more than 6,000 beverages weekly.
