Asian American Studies

College of Letters and Science

Students that complete a minor in Asian American studies will be able to apply multidisciplinary knowledge of major concepts, theories and methods in Asian American studies. They can critically analyze historical, contemporary, comparative and relational formations of race, ethnicity, class, gender and sexuality in local and global contexts. They also understand the diversity and complexity of Asian American populations. Students will be able to apply critical thinking skills, communicate academic knowledge and collaborate with others.
