Commencement is just a few weeks away on December 13 at 10:00 a.m. at the University Credit Union Center on the UC Davis campus.

Cap and gowns: Academic regalia is mandatory and don’t forget to order yours now! Click for more information or contact the UC Davis Bookstore at gradsupplies@ucdavis.edu regarding any questions.

Extra ticket requests: All extra ticket requests have been approved. You may log back into the registration system to see the approval. Tickets will be distributed by December 5 via direct email. Ceremonies will also be livestreamed on the Commencement website and available on-demand following the event for those not able to attend in-person.

Grad card: Note that you will receive instructions to download the card when you receive your guest tickets. The card will be used to announce your name when you cross the stage. Please hold on to it! Majors will not be announced.

Parking: Graduates and guests are encouraged to park in the Pavilion Parking Structure. Parking is complimentary but does require registration. For step-by-step instructions and more parking info, please visit the Transportation Services website.

Guest arrival: Doors will open one hour prior to the ceremony. Guest tickets are considered general admission and seating is based on a first come, first served basis.

Graduate arrival: Please arrive one hour prior to the ceremony start time with your printed grad card and cap and gown on, but unzipped. Graduates should report to the Southeast (SE) lower level entrance tunnel of the UCU Center. Please go down the outside stairs and through the inside tunnel leading into the UCU Center. You will then proceed to the main floor of the UCU Center where there will be an opportunity for photos and interaction with faculty before the ceremony begins. Seating is on a first come, first serve basis. There is no procession and the ceremony is projected to last no longer than one and a half hours.

Limited mobility assistance for guests: There will be shuttle assistance from the Pavilion Parking Structure to the UCU Center and no advance request is required. The University does not provide wheelchairs. The UCU Center has ample limited mobility seating for guests, including for those in wheelchairs, and no advance request is required. Ushers will be available to direct guests to the aforementioned seating upon entrance. If you, as the graduate, have limited mobility concerns for yourself, please contact your commencement coordinator.

Photos: Pro Pics is the official photographer for the commencement ceremonies to take portraits of graduates. On-stage photos and individual portraits will be available for purchase from Pro Pics following the graduation ceremony. Register online to identify your photos and receive proofs. There is no cost to have your photo taken and no obligation to purchase. Photos taken by family or friends will be permitted from their seats or from the designated photo areas available during the ceremony. Tripods will not be allowed into any of our commencement venues.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Registration for the Fall 2025 undergraduate commencement ceremony will open on Tuesday, October 14 at 10:00 a.m. Please note that there is only one (1) fall ceremony being held on Saturday, December 13 at 10:00 a.m. in the University Credit Union Center on the UC Davis campus. We encourage you to register as soon as you are able at ucdavis.edu/commencementGraduate seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Registration Process: You must register to participate in commencement. When registering, you will be asked to claim the number of guest tickets you will need. Each graduate can claim up to four tickets for guests when they register. If you need additional tickets, you may petition for up to two additional tickets during your registration. (Registered graduates participating in the ceremony do not need tickets.)

Please bookmark the Fall Commencement website as the primary source for information. This website currently includes updated FAQ and plan your visit pages and will be updated through the date of the ceremony. Once you register, we will send you direct emails to help highlight important information for graduates and guests.
