A new Web site highlights UC Davis faculty who are working to understand the past, present and future implications of climate change.

Created and maintained by the John Muir Institute of the Environment, the site is intended to be a resource for anyone on or off campus who wants to know about UC Davis expertise related to global and regional climate change.

The site is organized into nine categories -- air quality, agriculture, water resources, oceans, ecological forecasting, ancient climate change, solutions and human adaptation, clean technology-energy, and forecasting and modeling. Topics range from travel and commuter behavior to biofuels and other alternative energy research.

About 30 faculty members are listed on the site so far. Other faculty members are encouraged to post their expertise by filling out a short form on the site.
