USDA Secretary Dan Glickman to Host Forum at UC Davis

What: Newly appointed U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Dan Glickman will make his first official visit to California to host a public regional rural forum dealing with international trade and research issues. Glickman will be joined by Rep. Vic Fazio and Deputy Secretary of Agriculture Richard Rominger, who is also a Yolo County farmer. When: Monday, April 17 8:30 a.m. to noon Media availability afterward will be at 12:15 p.m. Where: Ben Sharpsteen antique mechanics facility Hopkins Road, just north of the University Airport University of California, Davis Visuals: The backdrop for the event is a machine shop devoted to restoration of vintage farm equipment. Directions: From Sacramento, take Interstate 80 west to Highway 113. Go north on Hwy. 113 toward Woodland and take the first exit at Hutchison Drive. Turn left onto Hutchison Drive. Go west to Hopkins Road and turn left. The antique mechanics center is on the left. Parking: Media representatives will be directed to a designated parking area at the University Airport.
