The Mondavi Center announced ticketing changes in 2008-09 for the benefit of students and UC Davis employees.

The staff discount now applies to all three ticket levels, 1 through 3. When established last year, the discount applied only to Levels 2 and 3.

Also in 2008-09, the Mondavi Center will set aside tickets for students -- roughly 150 tickets for every performance. This is to prevent students from being shut out, usually because by the time they arrive at school for the fall quarter, many performances already are sold out. Students will continue to receive a 50 percent discount on all tickets.

SEASON TICKETS: Sales are under way by mail, phone, in person and online, for renewing and new series subscribers. The renewal deadline is May 23; after that, seating arrangements from the previous season cannot be guaranteed.

SINGLE TICKETS: Set to begin Aug. 25.

DISCOUNTS: UC Davis faculty and staff receive discounts of 30 percent on season tickets for series, 25 percent on choose-your-own plans (five or more events) and add-on events, and 10 percent on single events. Season ticket discounts for the general public are 20 percent on series, and 15 percent on choose-your-own plans and add-on events.

EXCHANGES: The Mondavi Center in 2008-09 will no longer charge for ticket exchanges (though ticket holders must still pay the difference for tickets that cost more than the ones that are being exchanged).
