Novelist Margaret Atwood, known for her books such as "Cat's Eye" and "The Handmaid's Tale," will lecture and read from her work during a two-week visit to UC Davis, Feb. 8-19. In two appearances that are free and open to the public, Atwood will read from her recent writing at 8:15 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, in Room 194 of the Chemistry Building and will lecture on "Spotty-handed Villainesses: Problems of Female Bad Behavior in the Creation of Literature" at 8:15 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, in Kleiber Hall. In addition, she will be signing books at the campus bookstore. A Regents' Lecturer, Atwood is being hosted jointly by the English department and Women's Studies program on campus. During her visit, she will attend classes and meet with students, faculty and staff.
