A meditation series for staff and faculty is open for registration.
The Staff and Faculty Health and Well-Being Program sent out an announcement earlier this week about the meditation series and a lunchtime yoga series; the yoga session filled up quickly.
Mindfulness Meditation will meet on four consecutive Tuesdays, Jan. 31 to Feb. 21, from noon to 1 p.m. in the Vanderhoef Studio Theatre at the Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts. This “guided mindfulness meditation series” for beginner and advanced meditators will focus on techniques and strategies to improve your health and well-being, and also will include discussions on the science of meditation. The series is free. Registration can be arranged through the UC Learning Center (search for “Mindfulness Meditation”). You should register for all four sessions, even if you cannot make every class.
Retirees and students are welcome to attend the meditation series without registering.
