Job Opportunities Improve for M.B.A. Graduates

Students who are receiving their Master of Business Administration degrees this spring are more confident about finding jobs than they were a year ago. "Most of this year's graduates will have jobs in the business field within three months from the commencement because of California's improving fiscal status," says Don Blodger, career services director at the UC Davis Graduate School of Management. "Intel and Hewlett-Packard continue to hire more of our students than other employers," says Blodger. The M.B.A. students have received more job offers in 1995 than in the past few years and several of the students are receiving multiple offers. Marketing and finance in high-technology and computer fields are the most popular employment fields for UC Davis business graduates this year.
