-- Jim Wolpert, chair of the UC Davis Department of Viticulture and Enology, is the first recipient of the new Marvin Sands Endowed Department Chair. The new endowed chair was created by a $466,000 donation from members of the winegrape community in memory of Marvin Sands, the late chairman of Constellation Brands, formerly known as Canandaigua Brands. This is the fourth endowed chair for the viticulture and enology department.
