Carole Barone, associate vice chancellor for information technology at UC Davis, was presented with the 1995 CAUSE Elite Award for exemplary leadership and information technology excellence from CAUSE, the association for managing and using information technology in higher education. The award honors her lifetime achievements and international impact in higher education information resources. The award includes a $5,000 contribution in the winner's name to the scholarship fund of her choosing. Barone has donated the contribution to the UC Davis Students First fund.
