Gary Moberg, associate dean of the animal biology division in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, has been named chair of the board of directors for the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Western Regional Aquaculture Center. The center is one of five in the United States designated by the USDA Cooperative State Research, Education and Extension Service to provide federal leadership in aquaculture. It supports projects that impact the commercial development of aquaculture by focusing on programs that achieve regionwide cooperation between researchers, extension specialists, government and industry.
