-- A United States campaign to ban land mines has invited UC Davis art and art history professor Conrad Atkinson to be its official artist representative. Atkinson's ceramic replicas of land mines will be shown in an upcoming international art exhibition titled Iron Ore Miner Drawings at West Cumbria College in Cumbria, England. A second exhibit featuring Atkinson's work, Mining Culture in Technicolor, will open in January at the Woodruff Art Center in Atlanta, Ga.
