It's a job-seeker's market for skilled Californians. Learn about the hottest opportunities in business and management, information technology, digital arts and engineering on Wednesday, Aug. 19, at a free Career Strategies Night sponsored by UC Davis University Extension.
From 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at Sutter Square Galleria, 2901 K St., Sacramento, local business leaders and employment specialists will lead a panel discussion on developing career trends. A question-and-answer session will follow.
Panelists include David Lyon, labor market consultant for the State of California Employment Development Department; Michael L. Dourgarian, general manager, Manpower; Roberta Glidden-Pickett, director of billing services technologies, Sprint; John J. Moore, campus recruitment manager, Intel Corporation; Marsha Moore, district manager, Kelly Services; and K.C. Chamberlain, director of production, America Multi-Media Group.
In addition to the panel discussion, UC Davis staff and faculty will be on hand to discuss the wide variety of learning opportunities in more than 20 areas of study available at University Extension. Refreshments will be served and everyone who registers for a class at this event will receive a free University Extension T-shirt.
