There’s a buzz in the air when students are brewing a batch of beer at UC Davis’ state-of-the-art brewing facility. For Joe Williams, a Sierra Nevada Brewing Company endowed brewer who is working on his Ph.D., the campus’ Anheuser Busch InBev Pilot Brewery is more than a place to make beer — it’s where confidence is gained and lives are changed.
