A UC Davis employee facing five felony charges related to the theft and fraudulent use of a credit card surrendered herself to campus police today.
Charges filed against Marilyn Flores, employed in the Recreation Hall, include fraudulent use of an access (or credit) card, two charges of grand theft and two charges of theft of an access card.
Flores has not been arraigned, but Yolo County courts had issued a warrant for her arrest.
Detective Sgt. Joyce Souza of the UC Davis Police Department said the charges are related to activities alleged to have taken place about a year ago. The case has been under investigation since December, when a former employee reported a theft to the police. Souza said the Police Department has not identified any other employees who have been affected.
