The winner of the Pergamon Phytochemistry Prize and Certificate for 1994 is Eric Conn, UC Davis professor emeritus of biochemistry. The $5,500 prize is awarded annually by Pergamon Press in recognition of sustained, outstanding contributions to the subject of phytochemistry, the chemistry of plants. Conn's 40 years of research have most significantly impacted the field of natural product plant biochemistry.
