Agronomist Melvin George of UC Davis' Agronomy and Range Science department, has been named "Range Manager of the Year." Support of local extension programs, initiation of the Rangeland Watershed Program, being a mentor to students, and service to the Society for Range Management were reasons cited for the recognition from the society.
