From the start of the pandemic, UC Davis has been at the forefront of COVID-19 research. America’s first community-acquired case of COVID-19 arrived at UC Davis Medical Center on Feb. 26. Experts from UC Davis immediately began working together to find solutions to a new global threat. Today their collective experience in virology, zoonotic diseases, human health, medicine, engineering and animal model research is helping to tackle the crisis at all levels, from the field and the laboratory to the hospital bed and beyond.
