By Andy Fell on June 8, 2020 in Human & Animal Health

A new UC Davis podcast featuring two deans will address all aspects of research into the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the Deans Discuss: COVID-19 video podcast, hosts Allison Brashear, dean of the School of Medicine, and Michael D. Lairmore, dean of the School of Veterinary Medicine, examine the collaboration taking place across UC Davis and consider the pathways to progress that lie ahead.

The podcast will air by 3 p.m. on Monday afternoons, with the first, on testing, airing today (June 8). You can find the latest episodes on the Deans Discuss: COVID-19 website.

From the start of the pandemic, UC Davis has been at the forefront of COVID-19 research. America’s first community-acquired case of COVID-19 arrived at UC Davis Medical Center on Feb. 26. Experts from UC Davis immediately began working together to find solutions to a new global threat. Today their collective experience in virology, zoonotic diseases, human health, medicine, engineering and animal model research is helping to tackle the crisis at all levels, from the field and the laboratory to the hospital bed and beyond.
