Commencements
Chancellor Gary S. May announced on April 8 that spring commencements would be moved to virtual celebrations and the campus would explore holding an in-person commencement late in the calendar year. Graduate Studies and the professional schools are also considering in-person events late 2020 events.
An undergraduate commencement celebration will be held on June 12. Other online celebrations are as follows:
- May 22 — School of Veterinary Medicine
- May 29 — School of Medicine
- June 10 — School of Education
- June 11 — Graduate Studies
- June 11 — Betty Irene School of Nursing

Major destinations
- The Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts has canceled all public events through March 31. Read statement on the Mondavi Center’s website.
- Intercollegiate Athletics has suspended winter and spring competition. The Big West Conference (most UC Davis sports are members of the Big West) also has suspended competition, including the men’s and women’s basketball tournaments.
- The Jan Shrem and Maria Manetti Shrem Museum of Art is temporarily closed to the public.

- The C.N. Gorman Museum and the Design Museum are closed until further notice.
- The California Raptor Center is closed to visitors until at least March 31.
- The Bohart Museum of Entomology is closed to the public until April 6. The museum had already canceled open houses scheduled for March 21 and April 18 (Picnic Day).
- The Jan Shrem and Maria Manetti Shrem Museum of Art is temporarily closed to the public.

- Weekend Art Studio Labs with Elizabeth Corkery at the Jan Shrem and Maria Manetti Shrem Museum of Art, canceled for all of March.
- All Retiree Center events have been canceled through April 30. The center is closed to walk-in visitors and in-person appointments through March 30; the staff is working remotely and should be available via phone, 530-752-5182, and email to answer questions during these hours: 10 a.m.-noon and 1-4 p.m. Monday-Friday (except Friday, March 27, the César Chávez Day holiday).
