Museum Studies

College of Letters and Science

The museum studies minor will provide students with robust training in the history, practices and cultural critique of museums. It prepares students for graduate training in the field or careers in museum curation and related areas such as commercial or community arts, education services, public relations and arts development. The courses for the minor will also support a track within the art history major. In addition to art history classes, the list of electives includes courses in anthropology, communication, design, and theatre and dance, among others.
