Where's the post office?

Where's the UC Davis post office?

On the Memorial Union's second floor, moved there to make way on the first floor for temporary quarters for the Coffee House pizza shop. The pizza shop and several other elements of the CoHo are moving to the MU's east wing for more than a year, during renovation and remodeling of the CoHo's permanent home in the west wing.

In fact, the CoHo as we know it today is scheduled to shut down July 31. The new and improved CoHo is set to reopen in the fall of 2010.

During the shutdown, the CoHo will operate the best it can from a temporary kitchen in modular buildings that have been set up just outside the MU's southeast corner. Pizza will be cooked there and sold out of the space formerly occupied by the post office.

As for the post office counter, it is now in the Smith Room; the PO boxes are on the MU's first floor, outside STA Travel.

Here is a rundown of all the other east wing changes:

Book buyback room (across from the post office) — Becomes CoHo convenience market. The book buyback room moves down the hall to the MU’s East Conference Room.

Classical Notes-Campus Copies — Temporary quarters for the CoHo deli. The notes shop moves to 21 Lower Freeborn Hall (across from the barber shop). The copy shop moves to 13 Lower Freeborn, replacing AS PAPERs (Associated Students Providing Alternative Publications Equal Resources). AS PAPERs goes to 1230 Haring Hall.

Aggie Student Store — Becomes the CoHo’s bakery and coffee bar. The student store will not be in business in 2009-10. The bookstore’s Corral shop remains.

Old post office (Room 163) — Becomes the CoHo's espresso bar.
