A welcome reception for Chancellor-designate Linda Katehi is scheduled for this morning (May 8), with the entire campus community invited. Staff release time is appropriate with supervisory approval.

You can also watch the live event on Channel 53 on any television on the UC Davis campus (but not off campus).
The reception is scheduled to begin around 11:15 a.m. in Jackson Hall at the Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts. If Jackson Hall fills up, the overflow crowd can watch and listen via monitors in the Mondavi Center lobby.
Afterward, from about 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., everyone is invited to a social in the quad across from the Mondavi Center.
The Board of Regents approved Katehi's appointment during the board's May 7 meeting; it took place via telephone conference call. Yudof and others from the Office of the President gathered at UCSF to take part in the conference call, and Katehi joined them there.
