The UC Davis Retiree Center announced its annual Transitioning to Retirement series, a four-week program (one three-hour class per week) with two tracks: one for staff, the other for faculty/physicians/academics.
The classes — all by webinar — are scheduled on consecutive Fridays, Jan. 15-Feb. 5, at the following times:
- Staff — 9 a.m.-noon
- Faculty/physicians/academics — 1- 4 p.m.
Here are the weekly topics:
- Jan. 15 — Introduction and UC Retirement Plan
- Jan. 22 — Retiree health benefits and human resources considerations
- Jan. 29 — Financial planning in retirement and Social Security
- Feb. 5 — Work and lifestyle transitions
Within each track, each class requires a separate registration. The Retiree Center recommends enrolling in all four classes, although you can opt for fewer.
Each track has a separate webpage with more information and registration links. The organizers remind: Please be sure to open the appropriate page.
There is no automatic notification to supervisors when their employees sign up for Transitioning to Retirement.
