UC Davis' new Aggie Stadium hosted its first intercollegiate game April 1 when the women's lacrosse team defeated St. Mary's, 17-5, with Aggie sophomore Patrice Clark scoring the first goal. The $31 million stadium will be the home of Aggie football starting this fall, coinciding with the university's official switch to the NCAA's top division. The stadium can hold about 12,000, in seats and bleachers, and on the grass berms behind both end zones. The scoreboard, including video screen, measures 50 by 40 feet; the press box is still under construction.
