Benefits Presentations and Help Desks

Human Resources announced its schedule of presentations and help desk hours to assist employees with open enrollment for the next year. Sessions will be held on the Davis and Sacramento campuses.

OPEN ENROLLMENT

Open enrollment for 2020 benefits will begin at 8 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, and continue until 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26 (two days before Thanksgiving). Information booklets are due to arrive the week of Oct. 28 to home addresses. Learn more in this story from UCnet: “A Halloween Open Enrollment, With Good News and New Options.”

Health and Wellness Fairs will be held Thursday, Nov. 7, on the Sacramento campus; and Friday, Nov. 8, on the Davis campus.

More information, including the just-announced monthly rates for medical plans in 2020, is available on Human Resources' open enrollment website.

The Health Care Facilitator Program, which specializes in UC’s health plan options, will present medical plan overviews, and also participate in help desk hours. Help desks also will include benefit representatives who can discuss all health and welfare benefits.

Presentations by health care facilitators are scheduled as follows:

Davis

  • Monday, Oct. 28 — 9-11 a.m., AGR Hall, Buehler Alumni Center
  • Monday, Oct. 28 — 1-3 p.m., AGR Hall, Buehler Alumni Center
  • Wednesday, Oct. 30 — 9-11 a.m., multipurpose room, Student Community Center
  • Wednesday, Oct. 30 — 1-3 p.m., multipurpose room, Student Community Center

Sacramento

Reservations are not required; seating is first-come, first-served. Employees are welcome to bring their spouses or domestic partners. Narrated presentations will be posted on the Health Care Facilitator Program website shortly after the sessions.

The help desks offer drop-in counseling on a first-come, first-serve basis. Due to the size of the meeting rooms, confidentiality cannot be guaranteed.
