Millions of Americans have been vaccinated. Case rates have been falling nationally and in California. Governor Newsom has said California will lift all pandemic restrictions on June 15. So, where are we now? Is the pandemic nearly over, or is it too soon to declare victory? What precautions should we keep in place? Joining us on this episode of #UCDavisLIVE are two people who have been at the forefront of the fight against COVID-19 in our region.

- Dr. Aimee Sisson has been Public Health Officer for Yolo County since October 2020. She was previously Public Health Officer for Placer County and served as a Public Health Medical Officer at the California Department of Public Health for over 10 years.

- Dr. Dean Blumberg is professor of pediatrics and Chief of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at UC Davis Health. His interests are in preventing and treating childhood infections, vaccine research and childhood immunization policies.
