Well-Being Ticket Deal — $10 tickets for staff and faculty to see Compañía Nacional de Danza’s production of Carmen at the Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts. The discounted tickets are available only from Feb. 1 to 14 — and, yes, this is the February ticket deal, despite the fact the show is in March — 8 p.m. Saturday, March 3, in Jackson Hall. (Note: This is a different day and time than what had been announced previously.)

You will be seeing choreographer Johan Inger’s award-winning retelling of the 142-year-old story of passion and violence, contemporized, with the mountains of Ronda reimagined as poor suburbs, the soldiers as executives and the bullfighter as movie star. There will be a post-performance question-and-answer session with the company.

Tickets are available online (use the promo code CARMEN2018) and at the Mondavi Center box office (open noon-6 p.m. Monday-Saturday, and one hour before all ticketed events). Remember: Well-Being Ticket Deal pricing is available only from the first to the 14th of the month.
