Today, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (Nov. 19) ... that’s all the time you have left to take care of open enrollment and getting a flu shot (or telling the university, via the Health-e-Messaging portal, that you are not going to get one).
Open enrollment — You have until 5 p.m. Friday to access UCPath’s open enrollment website.
If you are making no changes, you need not do anything. Remember, though, if you have a flexible spending account, or FSA (health or dependent care, or both), and you wish one or both to continue, you must re-enroll. Your other benefits will continue if you take no action during open enrollment, but not your FSAs.
If you’re not sure whether you’re enrolled in the benefits that fit you best, we can help. Check out:

Look for more information on the UC Davis Human Resources website. It includes the UC Blue & Gold medical plan preimums that are specific to UC Davis, UC Davis Health and UC Agriculture and Natural Resources.
UC Davis Employee Benefits has one more help session planned: an open forum on Zoom, 1-3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18. Find the log-in information here.
Flu shot policy — Nov. 19 is also the deadline for staff, faculty and students to be vaccinated against the flu or affirmatively decline the flu shot, as specified by an executive order from the Office of the President. UC Davis employees and students are asked to log in to the Health-e-Messaging portal to record their date of vaccination or to fill out and submit the declination form. See the instructions on the Campus Ready Flu Vaccination webpage.
All who decline the flu shot are strongly encouraged to wear face coverings on campus through the end of the flu season even if COVID-19 requirements are loosened.
