During last month's Chancellor's Fellows reception at the Chancellor's Residence, Sergey Nuzhdin of evolution and ecology, right, talks with previous fellows, Mark Schwartz and Sharon Strauss. The award honors outstanding faculty members early in their careers. It is supported through the UC Davis Annual Fund and comes with a $25,000 stipend. The five fellows named this year were Nuzhdin, cosmologist Lloyd Knox, English assistant professor Elizabeth Freeman, associate professor of anthropology Li Zhang, and Graduate School of Management associate professor Prasad Naik.
