The Gunrock restaurant is up and running, as of last Wednesday. The café is open from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Check out this video to get a feel for the new Aggie sports theme and pub-style menu — not to mention beverages from Davis’ own Sudwerk Brewing Co.
The Gunrock wasn’t the only news out of Student Housing and Dining Services last week: California Hall Coffee opened for the first time ever, two-and-a-half years after the adjacent lecture hall opened.
‘What Do You Care About?’
This installation at Lake Spafford is part of an exhibition by Professor Robin Hill’s Art 151 intermediate sculpture students. She gave them the prompt, “What do you care about?” — and the results of their creative processes are now on display throughout the Arboretum, through Friday, March 11. A sign with each work holds the artist's narrative statement about their work.
