Six other individuals and a team also were honored — all had been announced on April 20 during the 13th annual Soaring to New Heights multicultural celebration in Freeborn Hall. Wilhelmina Cottman, Irene Day, Paula Driver Shimada and Daniel Steinhart also won awards; Student Housing's Residential Education Office took the department award; Micki Eagle won the Deanna Falge Award and David Van Leer earned a special citation.
