Enter the Enchanted Cellar, a costume rental service operated by the Department of Theatre and Dance, and you can be transformed into Harry Potter, Princess Leia, Superman or the Wicked Witch of the West, to name just a few characters. UC Davis students, faculty, staff and affiliates receive a 30 percent discount on rentals.

The Enchanted Cellar, in 17 Wright Hall, offers more Halloween selections than ever before and special hours for costume viewing and fittings.

Choose from a colorful array of costumes in a wide range of themes, from Game of Thrones, Star Wars and Star Trek, to Alice in Wonderland and The Wizard of Oz; and several time periods, including the 1920s, Victorian England and the lavish French Court of Marie Antoinette. Not to mention movie stars and superheroes, fairies and steam punk. See a photo gallery.

“We have kits starting at $45 which include all accessories head-to-toe,” said Roxanne Femling, director of the costume shop. “Or people can go through our stock and put together their own character. Come have fun with it!”
