IN BRIEF

Campus keeps close eye on our Toyotas’ safety

Fleet Services is carefully monitoring Toyota recalls and potential recalls. Out of about 1,050 vehicles in the campus fleet, 32 are Toyotas.

Some of the campus’s Toyotas are affected by a recall regarding driver’s side floor mats that may interfere with accelerator pedals. The campus has removed those floor mats in the affected vehicles.

A second recall concerns sticking accelerator pedals; the campus has none of the affected vehicles.

Nor does the campus fleet include any of the 2010 Prius models with a potential braking problem.
