Bicycle tour -- Bring your bike for a leisurely ride. 10 a.m. Sept. 1, Buehler Alumni and Visitors Center.

Folk Music Jam -- Play or listen. Noon-1 p.m. Sept. 7 and 21, Wyatt Deck, adjacent to the redwood grove. Old Davis Road.

Tour -- Which Plants Survived the Summer, in the Storer Garden. 10 a.m. Sept. 9, gazebo, Garrod Drive.

Walk With Warren -- With arboretum superintendent Warren Roberts, 8:30 a.m. Sept. 12, arboretum headquarters, La Rue Road.

Tour -- Location, Location, Location, about microclimates and selecting the perfect plants for each growing niche in your garden. 10 a.m. Sept. 16, gazebo, Garrod Drive.

All events listed above are free and open to the public. For the events that begin at the Buehler Alumni and Visitors Center, free parking is available in Lot 1 and the garage south of the Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts. Walking class -- 8:40-10 a.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, Aug. 27-Dec. 19. Presented at the UC Davis Arboretum by the Sacramento City College Davis Center. Fitness 401-Walking is a one-unit class designed to improve your fitness, physical appearance and well- being.
