Get out your cameras.  The City of Davis is holding a photo contest and you are invited to enter your best images of Davis.

Entrants are invited to capture what is special about the community. Photos can be representative of Davis history, community life, open space, recreation, arts, culture, or anything that embodies the spirit of what living in Davis means.

Age Groups: 6-12; 13-17; 18 and over

Accepting submissions: through March 30

What makes a photograph a winner? Technical quality, clarity and composition are all important, but so is a flair for the unexpected and the ability to capture a picture-perfect moment.

Contest entries will be judged on overall quality, creativity and how well the photograph portrays the City of Davis. The contest is open to all photographers. (Davis city employees and their families are not eligible to enter). Parental consent for minors in the 6 – 12 category is required to participate in the contest.

Category winners will be  recognized at a City of Davis Council meeting. All submissions may be used in future City of Davis marketing and promotional materials as well as displayed on the City of Davis website.

Details, contest rules and information about how to submit photos please visit here.
