UC Davis firefighters are at work on the 18,000-acre Rocky fire in Lake County.

A four-person crew responded Thursday (July 30) in Engine 364, which is provided to UC Davis by the state Office of Emergency Services. UC Davis has use of Engine 364 at all times, except when OES calls the engine into service — and when that happens, UC Davis also provides the crew.

Here’s the crew lineup: Steve Dunn, captain; Nate Potter, engineer; and Jon Poganski and Eric Schultz, firefighters.

Additionally, Capt. David Stiles is still on an OES assignment as a strike team leader. First he was on the Wragg fire west of Winters and now he’s on the Lowell fire in Nevada County.
