Commencement organizers are seeking staff members to serve as commencement ambassadors and perform a wide range of tasks, like greeting and directing graduates and guests, or helping ensure everyone’s regalia is in place.

Ambassadors will come away from the events with more than just a sense of having helped make one of the university’s most joyous and important events possible: Perks for commencement ambassadors include a $75 Visa gift card, a commencement T-shirt and lanyard, and a meal in the staff lounge. The cost of parking at the Golden 1 Center will also be covered.

Ambassadors must be available to work for a five-hour shift, starting two hours before each ceremony and ending one hour after the event. The available shifts are as follows:

  • Ceremony 1: Friday, June 14 from 7 a.m.-noon
  • Ceremony 2: Friday, June 14 from noon-5 p.m.
  • Ceremony 3: Saturday, June 15 from 7 a.m.-noon
  • Ceremony 4: Saturday, June 15 from noon-5 p.m.
  • Ceremony 5: Sunday, June 16 from 7 a.m.-noon

Signups are available online until May 17.
