What made you choose Davis?

The strong academic rank of the school, and the fun and dynamic living environment.

What inspires you?

Reading books, literature and travel.

What research are you currently working on? What makes it unique?

My lab works on three research areas but they all have a core of fluids: the blood flow in the brain, organ on chip and multi-phase flows.

If you could impart one piece of advice to our undergraduates seeking a course of study/career path, what would it be?

No matter what you’d like to do in the future, take one math and computing course.

When not in the classroom or conducting research, what do you like to do?

I spend time with my family and teach my kids martial arts.

Have you found your favorite spot on campus yet?

The arboretum.

If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?

I’d like to do time travel and see the technology of the future.
