When to Apply
Applicants for fall 2020 may start working on the UC application as early as August 1. The application filing period for fall 2020 admission to UC Davis opens November 1 and closes at 11:59 p.m. on November 30, 2019.
Where Can I Get an Application?
The online application is available each August, during regular application filing periods. Helpful prompts assist you in completing your application thoroughly and accurately. The domestic filing fee for each University of California campus you apply to is $70. For international applicants, the filing fee is $80 per campus.
Fee waivers are available to students who meet eligibility guidelines based on household size and family income. When you submit your online UC application, you can complete an online fee waiver request.
When you apply for admission, you are also applying for scholarships. Be sure to read all instructions pertaining to scholarships when completing the application, paying particular attention to the restricted scholarship eligibility codes.
If you wish to be considered for scholarships with a financial need component, you must also submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or Dream Act Application by March 2 for priority consideration.

Applying Late or for a Closed Term
Filing deadlines are rarely extended. Check for the most current information on extended or special filing deadlines. To apply for admission to a closed term or after a filing period has ended, you must submit an online appeal. Consideration of appeals is based on your overall academic record and extenuating circumstances.
Appeal requests must be submitted online with the following attachments:
- a statement describing your special circumstances,
- official or self-reported academic records,
- any other documentation, including letters of recommendation (suggested).
Depending upon the application term or time of year, decisions may not be made for several months. You will be notified of our decision by email, using the address included in your appeal request.
