Advancing science through technology

UC Davis scientists are using advanced microscopes to expand our knowledge in biology, medicine, physics, chemistry and materials science.

For instance, R. Holland Cheng, professor of molecular and cellular biology, has used advanced microscopes to find new insights into how influenza viruses package themselves and how HIV invades cells.
