Ballet class at the barre

Putting talent in the limelight: Theatre and Dance

At UC Davis, undergraduate students in theatre and dance are guided by faculty members of national renown and award-winning directors and designers. Students learn in a dynamic environment that offers significant performance opportunities and venues like the Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts.

With a special focus on participation, the dramatic art major prepares students to succeed in a wide range of careers.

Following an interdisciplinary approach, students earn a bachelor’s degree in dramatic art with an emphasis in either theatre or dance. Course subjects include ballet, acting, dance, stage management, films and performance analysis.
