Community of creativity: Graduate studies in art studio

The UC Davis graduate program in art studio has long been one of the most distinguished programs of its kind — in the 1960s, five innovative professors launched an art movement that established California as an important art center.

That spirit of creativity continues today in the Master of Fine Arts program in Art Studio, where students pursue their studies across a wide range of visual arts, including drawing, ceramic and clay, painting, photography, printmaking, video and sculpture. Guided by accomplished faculty and a deeply supportive learning environment at UC Davis, they are trained to hone their artistic and perceptive abilities so they can work one day as practicing artists.

Students interested in the M.F.A. program in art studio should apply now. The final deadline for admission is Jan. 2.
