As part of the Sacramento Spay Day Feb. 27, the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine will provide 300 low-cost spay and neuter procedures for dogs and cats from Yolo, Sacramento, Solano and Placer counties. Sacramento is a recognized national leader in the annual effort to prevent pet overpopulation and improve animal health. Thanks to its 400 volunteers, UC Davis is able to provide a quarter of those veterinary procedures.
